Telus Bundles Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video: Starting at CAD 20

Telus Revamps Stream+ Bundle: Combining Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video for Canadian Mobile Subscribers

Telus, a Canadian telecommunications company, has updated its Stream+ service, including Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video, into a single package for its mobile subscribers.

This combination of the three leading online streaming services in the U.S. caters to the preferences of most Canadian TV audiences.

The new version of the Stream+ TV streaming package comes in two levels. The Stream+ Basic option combines the ad-inclusive versions of Netflix and Disney+ with Prime Video, priced at CAD 20 (approximately USD 14.89) monthly. This represents a 17% savings compared to the cost of these services if subscribed to separately.

Alternatively, the Stream+ Premium option offers Netflix and Disney+ without advertisements and Prime Video for CAD 38 (about USD 28.20) monthly. Introducing cheaper, ad-supported versions of Netflix and Disney+ and the upcoming inclusion of ads in Prime Video for Canadian users have influenced Telus to update its Stream+ offerings.

Telus anticipates that the bundle will attract customers who subscribe to Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video individually, as over 60% of Canadians do. They expect users to see the value in consolidating their subscriptions into one bundled service to reduce their monthly expenses.

Dwayne Benefield, Senior Vice President of Mobility & Home Products and Transformation at Telus highlighted the advantage of combining multiple streaming services into one subscription as a smart way to save money.

Additionally, Telus is enhancing the Stream+ bundle by including a full Amazon Prime membership, generally priced at CAD 9.99 (USD 7.41) monthly or CAD 99 (USD 73.40) annually, along with Prime Video. Advertisements will be introduced to Prime Video content in early 2024 in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada, followed by France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Australia later.

Previously, the Stream+ bundle was offered at CAD 28 (USD 20.75) monthly, including Netflix Premium, Apple TV+, and an ad-lite version of Discovery+. However, Apple TV+ and Discovery+ are no longer part of the latest Stream+ package.
