Prime Video and MrBeast Unite to Launch ‘Beast Games’ Reality Game Show
Prime Video has revealed that it has been working with MrBeast to launch a new Beast Games series.
Based on the YouTube show, Beast Games is touted as the biggest reality game show, with over 1,000 participants competing for a cash prize of $5 million (€4.59m).
MrBeast is the executive producer and will also host the show. The Beast Game series is expected to be streamed exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 regions worldwide. The release date is yet to be announced.
Jennifer Salke, the leader of Amazon MGM Studios, commented that “MrBeast has captured the attention and imagination of fans of all ages, from all walks of life, and all over the world, and we are eager to work with MrBeast and his team to bring his high-value production concepts to Beast Games for our global customers to experience.”
Vernon Sanders, the head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, expressed, “When MrBeast first told us about his concept for the show, we were motivated by his ambition to make Beast Games the biggest reality competition series ever. We want to thank Aaron DeBevoise, Nic Paul, and the Spotter team for the introduction and kickstarting this journey for us.”
MrBeast shared his intentions for the show by stating, “My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other platforms.” He also added, “Amazon gave me the creative control I need to try and make it happen. I hope to make the YouTube community proud.”
MrBeast is known for his engaging and philanthropic content on YouTube. Previously, inspired by the Netflix hit series ‘Squid Game,’ MrBeast created a video titled “$456,000 Squid Game in Real Life” on his YouTube channel. This game show featured 456 participants, with the winner receiving a prize of $456,000. In addition to his entertainment-focused content, MrBeast has contributed to many philanthropic works. One notable initiative was the construction of 100 wells to supply clean drinking water to over 500,000 individuals across Cameroon, Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. MrBeast became the most subscribed YouTube creator globally in November 2022 and has over 244 million subscribers.
