Paramount+ Expands in Japan Through Lemino Streaming Deal

Paramount+ is making it easier for fans in Japan to access their favorite shows and movies, as the streaming platform has signed a new distribution deal with Lemino, a Japanese streaming service backed by NTT Docomo.

Starting soon, Paramount+ will be available on Lemino as a standalone subscription, priced at JPY770 per month, including tax.

Marco Nobili, Executive Vice President and International General Manager at Paramount+, said, “Paramount+ continues to have a strong footprint in international markets around the world, streaming some of the most-watched global series from Yellowstone to Landman. By partnering with Lemino, Paramount+ will be delivering many of the very best films, franchises and series to even more Japanese fans.”

This new partnership with Lemino adds to Paramount+’s growing reach in Japan. The company has already signed distribution deals with J:COM, WOWOW INC., and made its content available through Amazon Prime Video Channels as an à la carte subscription.

In addition, Paramount+ recently struck a licensing deal with Japan Airlines (JAL). Passengers flying with JAL can now enjoy a selection of Paramount+ titles as part of their in-flight entertainment system.

Furthermore, streaming services offer something for everyone, whether it’s original series, blockbuster movies, or kids’ content. Paramount+ features content from some of the biggest names in entertainment, including CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Paramount Pictures, and Showtime. With this new Lemino deal, Paramount+ continues to grow its presence in Asia, offering Japanese audiences access to top-quality content on a platform they already know and use.
