Former CEO of MTV Networks International, Asia Pacific Joins Leading FAST Channel Firm
LOS ANGELES, OCTOBER 4, 2022 – MuxIP, a leading provider of automated solutions for ad-supported streaming, today announced the appointment of Frank Brown as managing director, international, and FASTHub Lead for Europe and Asia-Pacific. Based in Sydney, Australia, Brown will help drive engagements with broadcasters and producers in the regions for FASTHub, which is MuxIP’s cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) solution that rapidly encodes, packages, and distributes channels – including broadcast, satellite, and digital – to any OTT platform, TV device, or application. Based on patented technology, FASTHub converts broadcast streams to digital, enabling the rapid creation of Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channels at lower costs and with greater revenue generation than competing solutions.
Previously, Brown was Asia-Pacific lead and global advisor for Alchimie, the publicly-traded OTT video-on-demand (VOD) channel aggregator. Brown has also served as chairman, i-Pop Networks Asia, and president/CEO for Viacom/MTV Networks International, Asia Pacific. He served as a board member for Nickelodeon in Australia during his tenure for Viacom/MTV Networks.
