With a new multi-year content partnership Fox Entertainment and Hulu have renewed their collaboration. Under the agreement, Hulu will continue to stream Fox’s primetime entertainment shows, the day after their broadcast premieres including popular titles like The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and series from Gordon Ramsay’s culinary franchise. The renewed deal also extends a marketing alliance established last year, ensuring joint branding between Fox and Hulu appears across promotional campaigns.
Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade said, “Our friends at Hulu and Disney Entertainment are exceptional partners, together driving ongoing mutual growth and strong results. Through our new agreement, we look forward to expanding on this impressive track record and collaboratively shaping the future of television in today’s shifting media landscape.”
Fox Entertainment does not operate a large-scale subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) platform so the company continues to rely on its partnership with Hulu to provide next-day streaming for its primetime programming. While Fox’s free ad-supported streaming service, Tubi, offers select content, it does not include all of the network’s programming or provide next-day availability.
Notably, Fox was an early partner in Hulu during the streamer’s formative years but sold its stake to Disney in 2019 as part of Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox. Today, Hulu hosts popular Fox animated series like Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy, both owned by Disney post-merger. According to Nielsen data, these shows consistently rank among the most-watched streaming titles in the U.S.
Hulu general manager Lauren Tempest, said, “The long-standing, valued partnership we have with Fox has cemented Hulu as the next-day streaming home for current Fox hits and out of season episodes of key Fox titles, and we’re excited to continue offering these scripted, unscripted and animated series to our subscribers. Our collective marketing efforts, which will continue with this new deal, have generated impressive results and helped viewers successfully find the shows they want to watch, when they want to watch them.”
