Dens.TV and Wedotv Partner to Expand FAST Channel Offerings in Indonesia

FAST network wedotv is expanding into the Asian streaming market through a new partnership with Indonesian platform Dens.TV. This marks wedotv’s first entry into the region’s television landscape.

As part of the agreement, wedotv will bring four of its key channels to Indonesian audiences: wedotv movies (female-focused films), wedotv BIG stories (outdoor and reality content), wedotv amor (telenovelas), and wedotv sports.

Wedotv, co-CEO Philipp Rotermund, said, “We have wanted to enter the Asian market for some time, but we knew we needed a team on the ground with the right expertise. Greg Ang and Harold Gronenthal are TV executives with tremendous experience in the region. Having them as part of our team will significantly enhance our ability to expand and progress across the region.”

Dens.TV, which streams across mobile devices, set-top boxes, Smart TVs, and web browsers, is strengthening its FAST channel lineup. Dens.TV, owned by CBN Group, targets young, tech-savvy viewers in Indonesia with local and international content. The company has been a major player in Indonesia’s ICT sector since 1996, offering broadband and IPTV services through its fibre-optic network.

Ario Bagus Widyatmiko, chief content officer, Dens.TV, said, “We are committed to continuously providing innovative and high-quality entertainment experiences for the Indonesian public. One of the ways is by offering free-to-watch television channels supported by advertisers in the form of FAST Channels. Dens.TV is proud to make history as the first streaming platform to introduce FAST channels in Indonesia.”

This expansion follows Wedotv’s recent growth in markets including the U.K., Germany, Italy, the Nordics, Benelux, the U.S., Brazil, and MENA. To drive its push into Asia, wedotv has enlisted Greg Ang and Harold Gronenthal, two Singapore-based TV executives with extensive regional experience, through Ang’s company, GangTV.
