Amazon Prime Video has added Apple TV+ as a separate channel in Germany, expanding its streaming catalog. This follows a similar rollout in the United States last October and is part of Amazon’s strategy to position Prime Video as a central hub for streaming content. Apple TV+ is also now available through Prime Video in Italy and Spain.
Prime members in Germany can access Apple TV+ for €9.99 per month. The subscription includes access to popular series like Severance, Slow Horses, and Ted Lasso, along with award-winning films such as CODA. The new German series Krank Berlin is also part of the lineup.
Amazon has previously added services like Paramount+, Crunchyroll, and DAZN to Prime Video, aiming to create a one-stop platform for streaming. The addition of Apple TV+ strengthens Prime Video’s premium content offering while helping Apple expand its reach beyond its usual ecosystem.
Dr Christoph Schneider, Country Director of Prime Video Germany, said, “We delight our customers with an outstanding entertainment offering and a first-class selection of premium content, including Amazon MGM Studios Originals, live sports, licensed films and series, as well as the ability to rent or buy thousands of films and popular series. In addition, we offer over 100 additional add-on channels. The integration of Apple TV+ and its high-quality content is a perfect complement to our extensive offering.”
Eddy Cue, Senior Vice President of Services at Apple, said, “Viewers in the United States already love subscribing to Apple TV+ through Prime Video, and we are excited to bring this offering to Germany, Italy, and Spain. We want to make Apple TV+ and its award-winning library of series and films from some of the world’s best storytellers accessible to an even wider audience.”
Apple has also recently launched an Android app for Apple TV+, expanding accessibility across different platforms. This latest partnership strengthens both Amazon and Apple’s positions in the competitive streaming market, offering users more convenience and content choices.
