Airtel Xstream Play Aggregates aha Tamil and Telugu Content to Its Expanding Service Offerings
Airtel Xstream Play, known for aggregating OTT services, has recently included Aha Tamil and Telugu in its offerings. Aha OTT, a joint venture by Allu Arvind’s Geeta Arts and My Home Group, is now part of Airtel Xstream’s diverse content lineup.
Adarsh Nair, CEO of Airtel Digital, expressed enthusiasm about the new addition. “We welcome team aha on to our platform and look forward to collaborating with them and taking their content across the length and breadth of India,” he remarked.
Nair highlighted the growing importance of regional content in transcending language barriers within India and noted that Aha’s content will cater to audiences in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana and viewers across the country.
Rakesh CK, aha’s senior VP and head of SVOD and business strategy, also shared his thoughts on the alliance. “We are pleased to unveil this strategic collaboration with Airtel Xstream, marking a significant stride in our ongoing mission to be in every Telugu and Tamil household,” he said. He hoped the partnership would expand their audience and emphasize their commitment to delivering impactful, exclusive content.
Airtel Xstream Play stands out for its comprehensive OTT content collection, accessible through a single application. The platform features a wide array of content from various partners, including Sony LIV, Lionsgate Play, Chaupal, and many other content providers. Airtel subscribers can access an extensive library of over 40,000 movies and shows from 20 content partners.
