Tennis fans will soon get a chance to see some of their favorite former ATP stars back in action. Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has teamed up with the Legends Team Cup, a brand-new global tennis tournament that will feature iconic names from the sport’s past competing in elite teams across several international locations.
The Legends Team Cup will debut from August 14 to 16, 2025, in Europe. Over the course of the 2025 season, matches will also take place in Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East, offering tennis enthusiasts a nostalgic yet competitive spectacle.
WBD Sports will provide live and exclusive coverage of all seven events through its streaming platforms, including HBO Max and discovery+. A dedicated highlights show will also air on Eurosport across Europe and TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland following each tournament.

The event format is designed to be fast-paced and entertaining, with matches consisting of two sets of four games, a unique structure aimed at creating more dynamic and engaging experiences for viewers.
The Legends Team Cup is made up of three elite teams, each led by legendary captains: Carlos Moya, James Blake, and Mark Philippoussis. These teams will include both recently retired players and those transitioning from the ATP Tour.

- Richard Gasquet
- Sam Querrey
- Feliciano López
- Dominic Thiem
- Diego Schwartzman
Notably, Richard Gasquet, who recently played his final professional match at Roland-Garros 2025 against Jannik Sinner, is one of the key players joining the tour. This tournament will give players like him a chance to remain active in the sport, entertaining fans while continuing to compete at a high level.
