Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and Amazon’s Prime Video have extended their partnership, enabling WBD’s streaming service, Max, to be offered as an add-on subscription via Prime Video. This expansion will be available in Sweden and the Netherlands where the service is branded as HBO Max, and will be accessible to subscribers starting Monday.
Notably, by subscribing to Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max add-on, Prime Video customers will soon have access to a variety of popular shows and films. This lineup includes series like House of the Dragon, The Penguin, The Last of Us, and the anticipated Dune: Prophecy and The White Lotus season 3. Subscribers can also enjoy films such as Godzilla x Kong, Beetlejuice, Dune: Part Two, Wonka, and Barbie.
Furthermore, as add-on subscription options Prime Video customers will have access to Max’s Basic with Ads and Standard plans. Additionally, a sports add-on will be available, providing a selection of major sports events described by the partners as including “a wide range of world-class sports, such as Grand Slam tennis, Grand Tour cycling, snooker, motorsports, winter sports, and the Olympic Games.”
The partners said, “Today’s announcement strengthens the global relationship between Warner Bros. Discovery and Amazon which sees Max available as an add-on subscription …, offering millions of customers premier content from Warner Bros. Discovery’s iconic brands.”
Additionally, Max has already been introduced as an add-on subscription for Prime Video users in several regions, including the U.S., France, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Spain.
