Vialma partners with OKAST to launch its FAST channel on the largest platforms on the market.

PARIS, France, 17 April 2023 – Vialma, a French streaming service dedicated to classical music and jazz, has chosen OKAST Channels to launch its free, ad-supported channel (FAST) on the Samsung TV Plus platform.

Convinced by the relevance of this new distribution model, Vialma has selected the OKAST Channels solution provided by OKAST. Its modular cloud-based playout, transcoding, and ad insertion solution appeared to be the ideal technical solution, complemented by the support and technological expertise of its teams.

OKAST Channels enabled Vialma to easily create, launch, and distribute its FAST channel in a few weeks. This new partnership is part of the ambitious strategy of the European consortium FAST4EU, created by OKAST, to develop a European ecosystem to address the FAST market.

OKAST will strengthen its portfolio of channels to offer local audiences in each market content that resonates with their values and culture, thus highlighting the breadth and quality of European programming available .

We are delighted to launch our first FAST channel with OKAST. We were looking for a partner who could not only master all the technical aspects but also accompany us in our learning curve. Moreover, we share the same ambition to create virtuous economic models for creators of high-quality European content. Working with OKAST was an obvious choice and we look forward to growing our channel together.  Guillaume Descottes, Founder, General Manager  Vialma

The launch of this new channel with Vialma is a further demonstration of the variety and diversity of European content formats eligible for this new distribution model that is FAST. We are delighted that our OKAST Channels solution has seduced Vialma and that our support has enabled the rapid implementation of an innovative channel in its programs, supported by fair and flexible revenues.  Cédric Monnier, Co-founder, CEO OKAST
