TVN Warner Bros. Discovery and Vectra Sign Long-Term Content and Advertising Deal

Poland’s top broadcaster, TVN Warner Bros. Discovery, and cable operator, Vectra, have signed a new long-term partnership agreement that will strengthen their cooperation in both content distribution and advertising.

This renewed collaboration ensures that Vectra subscribers will continue to have full access to the extensive portfolio of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery channels. The agreement covers both linear television and OTT (over-the-top) streaming models, offering a wide range of programming across multiple platforms.

Under the terms of the agreement, Vectra users will be able to enjoy the entire programming catalogue from TVN Warner Bros. Discovery. This includes well-known Polish and international channels across various genres. These will now be accessible not only through traditional TV viewing but also via Vectra’s mobile application, allowing users to watch content on tablets and smartphones.

Notably, the content deal introduces several channels to Vectra’s OTT platform, including TVN 7, TVN Fabuła, Metro, and TTV. These channels will also receive more favorable positions on Vectra’s EPG (Electronic Program Guide), making them easier for users to find and access.

A key component of the new agreement is the implementation of Dynamic Advertising Insertion (DAI). This technology allows for the real-time replacement of advertisements, enabling more targeted and relevant ad experiences for viewers. The deal provides the necessary permissions and solutions to support DAI across platforms, notably improving advertising efficiency and personalization.

Dorota Żurkowska, Group Senior Vice President Revenue at TVN Warner Bros. Discovery, said, “The extension of cooperation with Vectra – our long-term and trusted partner – is great news for the operator’s subscribers. In the coming years, they will be able to use the full spectrum and richness of our content: from the latest news on TVN24 and CNN International, through fascinating automotive or travel programs on TVN Turbo and Discovery Channel, nature documentaries on Animal Planet, entertainment for the youngest on Cartoon Network and Cartoonito, to inspiring programs about decorating a home on HGTV and culinary programs on Food Network. Vectra subscribers and their loved ones will always find something for themselves within our portfolio – regardless of age or interests. This is an offer that meets the diverse needs of entire families.”

Additionally, the agreement covers a range of joint promotional activities between the broadcaster and the operator. These marketing efforts aim to maximize the visibility and accessibility of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery content across Vectra’s services. The companies plan to cooperate closely to ensure that the rich variety of programming reaches as many viewers as possible.

Tomasz Żurański, Member of the Supervisory Board of Vectra SA, said, “This is certainly a very important agreement for us. It fully and very measurably fits into the strategy of providing viewers with diverse and consistently rich entertainment – available both at home, on the TV, but also in any other place on a tablet or smartphone.”

This long-term agreement not only strengthens the relationship between Vectra and TVN Warner Bros. Discovery but also represents a strategic step forward in Poland’s media and broadcasting industry. By combining a strong content portfolio with modern delivery and advertising technologies, the partnership is expected to enhance the viewing experience for millions of Polish households.
