TF1 to Launch TF1+ in 2024: A New Ad-Supported Free Streaming Service with Extended and Exclusive Content

TF1 Unveils TF1+ for 2024, Offering Free Streaming and Additional Ad-Free Plans from €5.99 per Month, and it is set to launch on Jan 8th.

The French broadcaster TF1 is set to launch its new, no-cost streaming service, TF1+, on January 8, 2024. This service will be featured on the main screen of various digital platforms, including the home pages of Orange, Bouygues Telecom, and SFR boxes. 

Additionally, it will be accessible through several smart TV interfaces like Google TV, Samsung, LG, Philips, Hisense, and Amazon Fire TV. Notably, from April 2024, Hisense Generation 2024 smart TVs will incorporate a dedicated TF1+ button on their remote controls.

An advertisement-free version, “TF1+ Premium,” will also be available across all interfaces, priced at €5.99 per month or €59.99 annually.

Rodolphe Belmer, the Chairman & CEO of the TF1 group, expressed excitement about this venture, highlighting it as France’s first free streaming platform. He emphasized the growing trend of on-demand content consumption and the increasing adoption of smart TVs in French homes. Belmer believes that TF1+ will significantly enhance their standing in the digital video domain, offering a distinct and appealing choice for both viewers and advertisers.

Upon its debut, TF1+ will offer an extensive library of 15,000 hours of content. This includes 200 feature films, 200 TV movies, and 200 box sets, featuring renowned French series like HPI and Sam, daily soap operas, and popular international series such as Vampire Diaries.

Special interactive sections will be dedicated to popular shows like Star Academy, Quotidien, and Belle la Vie, providing immersive experiences and exclusive content.

The platform will also host about 50 FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) channels, catering to interests like romantic comedies, thrillers, comedy, manga, and even Christmas movies.

TF1+ also launched exclusive news content tailored for on-demand viewing with its “TOP INFO” segment. This feature includes five daily news segments, each lasting 3-6 minutes, providing in-depth coverage of major news stories. 

Furthermore, the platform will offer extended availability of its content, ranging from a minimum of 30 days to up to 48 months in some cases.
