Spotify has launched a new Partner Program specifically for podcast creators in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. This initiative offers creators various ways to monetize their content, such as audience-driven payouts from Spotify Premium video engagement and opportunities to earn revenue through ads on Spotify Free and other podcast platforms.
Spotify explained, “This dual approach provides creators with more flexibility and control, allowing them to adapt to industry changes while maintaining steady revenue streams. Users will also enjoy improvements to their viewing experience and access to a larger and more diverse catalogue of video podcasts. Premium users can watch without interruptions from third-party ads. Although a creator’s existing sponsorships will still be included in episodes, traditional dynamic ads will not disrupt the video for Premium users, ensuring a smooth viewing experience on any device,”.
Additionally, they stated, “With over 640 million users and more than 250 million subscribers, Spotify stands as one of the largest platforms for creators globally. We are constantly developing new offerings to assist creators in expanding their audiences and monetizing their content more effectively on Spotify.” The company is focused on helping creators grow their audiences and discover new income opportunities from their podcasts.
