Sony Sports Network has secured the television broadcast rights for the World Pickleball League (WPBL), a new franchise-based Pickleball competition. The League, co-founded by Arjuna Awardee and former Indian tennis player Gaurav Natekar along with former India No. 1 Arati Ponnappa Natekar, is set to debut on January 24, 2025.
The tournament will feature six teams: Dilli Dillwale, Pune United, Mumbai Pickle Power, Bengaluru Jawans, Chennai Super Champs, and Hyderabad Superstars. Over ten days, these teams will compete in 18 games, showcasing 48 top international players from 14 countries.
