18th November, Mumbai: The wait is finally over as the World’s No.1 Business Reality show – Shark Tank is gearing up for its very first season in India that will reinvigorate the Indian entrepreneur ecosystem. Shark Tank India will provide an opportunity and a platform to entrepreneurs with interesting business ideas, business prototypes or active businesses that will be evaluated by business experts a.k.a The Sharks. Taking the excitement, a notch higher and finally answering the most asked question i.e. ‘Who are the Sharks’ of Shark Tank India, Sony Entertainment Television unveiled the Sevens Sharks.
Meet the Sharks who will mentor, invest and provide a vision for these budding entrepreneurs on the show that is set to take India by storm:
*Ashneer Grover – Founder and Managing Director of BharatPe*
An alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad, Ashneer Grover, Founder and Managing Director of BharatPe is a seasoned professional with strong strategic vision and proven expertise across domains in both start-ups and top-tier organizations. He has been a part of renowned companies like Kotak Investment Bank and American Express before starting his own venture- BharatPe. Ashneer is an active investor with 55 investments in startups. He is also a LP (Investor) in 2 USA based funds- Ribbit Capital and Left Lane Partners. Ashneer will invest in disruptive ideas and mentor India’s budding entrepreneurs.

Post her 6-year stint at Guidant Corporation, USA, Namita joined Emcure as CFO and currently heads Emcure’s India Business.
