SLING TV, a live streaming TV service provider, recently announced that its free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service, Sling Freestream, has added over 100 channels since its launch in February.
With this update, Sling Freestream now offers over 335 channels to its customers for free, making it an industry-leading service for free sports television. Some popular channels that Sling Freestream offers include Barstool Sports, ESPN On Demand, NBA On Demand, Lacrosse TV, Pac-12 Insider, and Pickle TV, among many others.
Sling Freestream has also introduced 12 new exclusive channels, catering to genres such as history, crime, kids, and classics. Some of the new exclusive channels include Living History, Latino Cinema, Her TV, Ambient Cinema, Crime Scenes, Screams & Scares, The Playground, and The Classics.
SLING TV is looking to add more domestic sports, entertainment, and news channels, as well as dozens of foreign-language international channels and on-demand content throughout 2023.
“We’re constantly aiming to offer more of what consumers want, and with our new channels, we thoughtfully curated content, from horror and thriller movies to kids’ TV and Black and women-led programming, to create unique channels exclusively for Sling Freestream users,” said Gary Schanman, group president of SLING TV.
Sling Freestream offers more than 35 sports, 100 entertainment, and 45 news channels with no payment or credit card required. The service allows consumers to choose the service that fits their needs rather than settling for a costly bundle.
In addition to free content, Sling Freestream users can subscribe to over 50 standalone streaming services like AMC+, discovery+, MGM+, and SHOWTIME. The service is available on all major streaming devices, smart televisions, tablets, game consoles, computers, and smartphones.
