Magnolia Pictures, the independent distributor of US theatrical and home entertainment content, has unveiled a strategic partnership with Samsung and its specialized service, Samsung TV Plus. This collaboration aims to extend access to Magnolia Pictures’ extensive film catalogue through carefully curated streaming offerings on Samsung TV Plus.
Furthermore, as part of its collaboration with Samsung TV Plus, Magnolia Pictures has unveiled a comprehensive selection of acclaimed movie titles included in this expansive deal. Notable titles include critically acclaimed documentaries and feature films, such as the Academy Award-winning documentary “Man on Wire,” the Oscar-nominated “Food Inc.,” and the BAFTA-winning “I Am Not Your Negro” directed by Raoul Peck. Additionally, viewers can look forward to watching narrative gems like “Support the Girls” which garnered recognition at both the Spirit Awards and Gotham Awards and acclaimed documentaries like “RBG” and “Blackfish.” Further enhancing the catalogue are compelling titles like Lars Von Trier’s “Melancholia,” the action-packed “13 Assassins,” and the gripping space thriller “Europa Report.”
Notably, Samsung TV Plus boasts over 350 live TV channels and an extensive library of on-demand movies and shows, providing users with diverse content choices at their fingertips. Furthermore, to launch proprietary TV streaming platforms Samsung joins consumer electronics counterparts like LG, Vizio, and Roku to offer users access to a wide range of licensed and third-party video content.
