Samsung TV Plus Adds Premium Sports Channels to FAST

Samsung Ads made waves at the IAB NewFronts 2024 by unveiling a fresh array of premium content across sports, music, family, and entertainment genres for its FAST service, Samsung TV Plus. New FAST services featuring live sports coverage from prestigious leagues such as MLB, PGA Tour, F1, and ONE Championship will also be introduced.

Furthermore, Samsung TV Plus announced an exclusive collaboration with Warner Music to enhance further its extensive library of nearly 500 premium national and local channels. The addition of Warner Music content will be showcased on Samsung’s newly established Music destination.

Michael Scott, vice president and head of ad sales and operations at Samsung Ads, said, “At Samsung Ads, we leverage Samsung innovation to deliver superior experiences to customers and advertisers alike. Our AI and data-driven advertising solutions will better help advertisers meet their objectives across the full marketing funnel, from achieving mass reach to bottom-of-funnel outcomes like customer acquisition. And, when combined with the number one reaching and most engaging FAST service, based on time spent viewing, Samsung TV Plus, advertisers will have a direct connection to audiences who frequently return for quality content.”

The latest content lineup features a rich array of top-tier sports, family, and music content through several strategic programming partnerships. Furthermore, with remarkable growth of over 60% year-over-year the service has announced a suite of major league channels to deliver live sports action from Major League Baseball (MLB), The PGA TOUR, the American Hockey League (AHL), and ONE Championship (MMA), along with Formula 1’s debut FAST channel. Additionally, Samsung TV Plus, as part of its latest partnership with Warner Music will feature exclusive playlists such as “The Drop” and “Artist Odyssey.”

Notably, by expanding its focus on gaming Samsung is aiming to captivate consumers outside the traditional realm of video game systems. Later this year, the company is set to launch two innovative games, both offering a controller-free gaming experience. While Rivals Arena introduces a unique concept, described as a “cinematic card game,” where advertiser QR codes are seamlessly integrated into the gameplay, The Six offers a trivia game experience directly built into Samsung-connected devices.
