Pluto TV, a Paramount Company, has announced the debut of a wide array of free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels across the globe. These channels will be dedicated to covering both global as well as local news across multiple international markets.
As per the announcement, Pluto TV is launching four channels from CBC News/Radio-Canada Info next month, which are CBC News Explore, CBC News British Columbia, CBC News Toronto and Radio-Canada Info, providing its viewers with latest news from Canada as well as around the world. The CBC news channels are a part of CBC News’ expanding lineup of local FAST channels, whereas Radio-Canada Info will be targeted towards French-speaking Canada.
Furthermore, Pluto TV is launching CNN International in UK, Switzerland, Germany and Austria; CNN Fast in UK, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy and Canada; and lastly, Reuters FAST in Canada, UK and the Nordic countries.
Additionally, CNN International will cover global news alongside a wide range of business, travel, lifestyle and technology programming from across the globe while CNN Fast will instead be curated for short-form videos and offer its audience a range of quick-paced content across similar genres as CNN International. Reuters FAST will also be focused on delivering high-quality unbiased global news in its own target market.
