ISO 27001 certification confirms the quality of security in Nevion’s business and development environment
Oslo, Norway, 15 November 2022 – Nevion, a Sony Group Company and award-winning provider of virtualized media production solutions, announced today that it has been certified for compliance to the ISO 27001 standard, following a thorough assessment of its Information Security Management Systems by independent certification body NEMKO. Aside from protecting Nevion, compliance to ISO 27001 reassures companies and individuals doing business with Nevion, including customers, that they are working with a partner that manages risk in a structured and appropriate manner.
Nevion has been certified for ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) since 2005 and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) since 2016. Obtaining the ISO 27001 certification was the logical step for an organization involved in handling data and valuable content – especially as Nevion has been developing for years systems and processes to ensure that these are managed securely.
Aside from covering how business data is handled, the ISO 27001 certification applies to the product development process also. This is particularly important in an industry that is seeing products shifting increasingly from hardware to software, potentially exposing customers to new security risks.
