LIV Golf’s 2025 season will be available for free in the United Kingdom, because of the new broadcast deal with ITV. The coverage will be accessible via the streaming platform ITVX, with selected rounds also airing on ITV1 and ITV4.
The upcoming season starts at Riyadh Golf Club from February 6-8 and wraps up with the Team Championship finale at LIV Golf Michigan from August 22-24. Throughout the year, the tour will visit cities including Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, Miami, Mexico City, South Korea, Washington DC, Dallas, Andalucia, the UK, Chicago, and Indianapolis.
This partnership follows similar agreements with FOX Sports in the United States, Coupang Play in South Korea, and Movistar Plus+ in Spain, expanding LIV Golf’s global reach.
Ron Wechsler, LIV Golf’s Senior Vice President of Broadcast Partnerships and Programming Strategy, said, “Our partnership with ITV represents a major milestone as we strive to bring LIV Golf to every corner of the world. With a premier sports broadcaster like ITV, we can ensure that more fans than ever will be able to access the excitement of the LIV Golf experience and connect with the world-class players, teams, and stories that make us a truly standalone global sports league.”
Niall Sloane, Director of ITV Sport, said, “This is an exciting time for LIV Golf as we look ahead to the innovative 2025 season. This partnership delivers free-to-air coverage for fans in the UK and we are delighted to welcome LIV Golf to ITV Sport.”
Additionally, Despite its growing presence, LIV Golf remains a topic of debate. Critics argue that the league is an example of “sportswashing,” suggesting that Saudi Arabia is using sports to improve its global image despite concerns over human rights. Since launching in 2022, these criticisms have contributed to slow adoption by some broadcasters. With this new ITV partnership, LIV Golf is set to reach a broader UK audience, bringing free access to its tournaments and further establishing itself in the global sports landscape.
