FuboTV, the sports-first live TV streaming platform, has launched multicultural content bundles to offer U.S. audiences greater access to international programming. Rolled out on February 19, 2025, these bundles focus on catering to the diverse tastes of American viewers, particularly the growing South Asian community.
The new multicultural bundles are available as standalone plans or as add-ons to Fubo’s existing English-language base plan, giving subscribers the flexibility to customize their viewing experience. One of the key offerings is the Zee Family bundle, which includes 18 linear entertainment channels from Asia TV USA Ltd., known for its extensive South Asian programming. Currently available through an annual subscription, Fubo plans to introduce monthly options soon, further expanding viewer choices.
Additionally, Fubo has incorporated ZEE5, Asia TV USA’s direct-to-consumer streaming app, into its platform, widening its multicultural content lineup. This move aligns with Fubo’s strategy to meet the increasing demand for content that resonates with viewers’ cultural backgrounds.
Todd Mathers, Executive Vice President of Content Strategy and Acquisition at Fubo, said, “The launch of multicultural bundles is a natural next step in our Super Aggregation strategy, as we seek to serve all consumers with flexible content bundles featuring the content they want to watch at an appropriate price point.”
The Zee Family bundle offers a wide range of content, covering multiple genres. Channels like Zee TV, which has promoted Indian cultural themes since its launch in 1992, reflect its core message, ‘Aaj Likhenge Kal’ encouraging viewers to pursue their dreams. Furthermore, Zee Cinema brings a variety of Hindi films, from action-packed thrillers to heartfelt romances, enhancing Fubo’s appeal to diverse audiences.
Additionally, the bundle includes regional channels such as Zee Telugu, Zee Tamil, and Zee Bangla, catering to South Asian families and communities across the U.S. This addition is particularly relevant as the U.S. Census Bureau reports a growing number of Indian language speakers, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Marathi, highlighting the demand for more regional content. Fubo’s broader strategy focuses on expanding both live and Video on Demand (VOD) offerings, aiming to create personalized content bundles for its subscribers. Mathers emphasized this approach, noting Fubo’s commitment to giving viewers control over their content choices while maintaining affordability.
Furthermore, by embracing its Super Aggregation model, Fubo aims to go beyond traditional streaming limits, providing a more diverse and inclusive content library. This move not only appeals to niche markets but also strengthens customer satisfaction by offering more viewing options.
Additionally, Fubo plans to continue exploring new partnerships and expanding its multicultural lineup to meet evolving audience preferences. By recognizing America’s cultural diversity and adapting to viewer needs, Fubo positions itself for continued growth and deeper market engagement.
