Fubo Launches AI-Powered Instant Headlines for Custom News Selection on Live TV
Streaming service Fubo is introducing a new AI-driven feature in its beta phase. The feature enables users to select individual news segments from a constantly refreshing selection of brief updates.
According to Fubo’s announcement, this feature, a novelty for live television, allows users to focus on specific news items directly from the homepage as they are broadcast. They plan to extend to sports and entertainment content.
The “Instant Headlines” function will assist users in making informed choices about what to watch as it happens. It presents the latest topics from ongoing programs in concise headlines, at most ten words, on the homepage’s news carousel.
This carousel is regularly updated to reflect the current discussion topics on each channel, allowing viewers to select a channel tile and jump straight into the live segment of interest.
“Instant Headlines” is currently accessible to Fubo subscribers using FireTV and Android TV platforms. It integrates with 24-hour news channels, encompassing national and regional broadcasters in specific areas. This feature could be extended to additional devices in the future.
Since its inception in 2015, Fubo has grown its subscriber base to nearly 1.5 million by September last year. Despite the competitive landscape of streaming services, which includes giants like YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV, Fubo has been expanding its reach, focusing on personalized viewing experiences.

He highlighted Fubo’s history of early adoption with technologies such as 4K streaming and multi-view options, setting it apart in a competitive market.
