Fox and NBCUniversal Partner to Bring 2025 Super Bowl on Telemundo

Fox Corp. and NBCUniversal, have reached a deal allowing Telemundo to produce its own broadcast of Super Bowl LIX next February.

Carlos Sanchez, executive VP and GM of Fox Deportes, said, “Since airing the first Super Bowl in U.S. Spanish-language history, FOX Deportes has been at the forefront of Spanish-language NFL coverage. Both companies have played a pivotal role in the rapid growth of the league’s Hispanic fanbase and we are proud to collaborate with Telemundo to bring the Super Bowl to more Spanish-language viewers than ever before in a landmark moment for the league and its Spanish-language fans.”

Furthermore, on February 9 next year’s Super Bowl LIX will feature two distinct Spanish-language broadcasts one from Fox Deportes and another from Telemundo Deportes. While Fox will host the primary broadcast for the majority of viewers, this arrangement will greatly extend the reach of Spanish-language coverage.

The deal also provides NBCUniversal a unique opportunity to produce and air its own Super Bowl broadcast, including selling ads specifically targeting the Telemundo audience, during a year it wasn’t originally scheduled to do so.

NFL executive VP of media distribution, Hans Schroeder, said, “Delivering live NFL games in Spanish is key to reaching the large and rapidly growing Spanish-speaking NFL fan base. We are constantly looking for ways to expand access to our games and reach more fans, and this partnership is another step forward. We are excited for the experience that FOX Deportes and Telemundo will create for Super Bowl LIX.”

Additionally, last year Telemundo showcased the FIFA World Cup. The network held exclusive Spanish-language rights, while Fox managed the English-language coverage.

Joaquin Duro, executive VP of sports for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, said, “We are thrilled to partner with FOX Deportes to bring yet another milestone Super Bowl presentation en español. This collaboration highlights the strength of our network and furthers our shared mission to expand the sport’s reach within the Latino community, ensuring Spanish-speaking fans have access to this premiere event.”
