Two of the biggest Czech streaming platforms, Voyo and O2 TV, are joining forces under a new brand, Oneplay, starting March 10. This merger aims to provide viewers with a comprehensive entertainment experience, combining TV channels, streaming content, and sports coverage in one place.
According to the companies, Oneplay will leverage the expertise of both Nova Group and O2 to offer a seamless, modern TV and streaming service that meets the expectations of today’s audiences.
Daniel Grunt, CEO of TV Nova, said, “We want to continue to build on the great success of Voyo and O2 TV and provide Czech families with the best of both services and much more. To offer the richest local content, exclusive original production and sports broadcasts and modern features fully corresponding to current expectations in one place. Unlimited for everyone, regardless of who you get the internet from.”
Oneplay will feature:
- Popular Czech TV channels
- A large library of Czech and international movies and series
- Exclusive original productions
- Live sports events in the Czech language
Additionally, O2 TV Sport and O2 TV Football will be rebranded as Oneplay Sport (1, 2, 3, 4), offering coverage of major events like the UEFA Champions League, Tipsport Extraliga, Chance Liga, Formula 1, MotoGP, and MMA.
The goal of Oneplay is to make entertainment more accessible and convenient. Instead of switching between multiple apps, users will find all their favorite TV shows, movies, and live sports in one place.
Jindřich Fremuth, CEO of O2, said, “With Oneplay, viewers no longer have to look for where to watch their favourite show or switch between multiple apps. Everything they need – from Czech and international series, films and channels to the biggest sporting events that they won’t find anywhere else – is now available in a single service. O2 customers will also get Oneplay in O2 Spolu for a great price.”
Oneplay will be available nationwide, and while O2 customers will receive special discounts, anyone in the Czech Republic can subscribe.
There will be four pricing plans ranging from CZK 199 to CZK 799 per month, with the top-tier package offering:
✔ 140+ TV channels
✔ Complete sports coverage
✔ Streaming on up to three devices at once
Existing Voyo subscribers will be automatically transferred to Oneplay, with the migration process starting on March 10. Similarly, O2 TV customers will gain access to Oneplay and can choose where they want to watch their content during the transition period.
For convenience, O2 TV users can log into Oneplay using their existing credentials. With the launch of Oneplay, Czech audiences can expect a richer and more streamlined entertainment experience, offering the best of local and international content, exclusive originals, and top-tier sports coverage.
