Canela Media Originals Recognized as Winners in the 44th Annual Telly Awards

The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies.  It was a record-breaking year for entries with more than 13,000 entries from across the globe.

Mi Vida:  Silver Telly Winner in Online Series: Documentary

Canela Media’s original documentary series Mi Vida features celebrities firsthand accounts of their lives.  In the series, icons from the world of Latin entertainment share pivotal and life-changing moments that have shaped their careers and chronicle their stories through never-before-seen photos, home videos, and archival footage.  The docu-series was produced by Canela Media in partnership with JK Media Group, Sebastián Jiménez, Executive Producer and Gabriela Guimarey, Showrunner.

SúperEllas:  Silver Telly Winner in Online Series: Animation

Canela Media’s original animated and educational series SúperEllas follows Nelly and Lucia, two best friends who embark on a colorful storytelling historical journey exploring the lives of inspirational Latinas who have changed the world.  The stories feature their lives, work and accomplishments and inspire little girls to reach new heights and be proud of their heritage.  The series was produced by Canela Media in partnership with Upstairs Miami, Anabella Sosa-Dovarganes, Showrunner and Melissa Escobar, Writer.

Secretos De Villanas:  Bronze Telly Winner in Online Series: Reality

Canela Media’s groundbreaking unscripted original series, Secretos De Villanas, brought together for the first time in the history of Hispanic television, six of the most iconic telenovela villains of all time.  The show became a pop culture phenomenon with audiences and the entertainment industry falling in love with the Villanas, which is why they’re coming back for season two later this year with a spinoff premiering this Summer, Secretos de Las Indomables. Secretos de Villanas was produced by Canela Media in partnership with River Waves Productions, Enrique Sapene as Executive Producer and Rubén Consuegra as Showrunner and Executive Producer.
