beIN Sports Extends UEFA Broadcast Rights Across MENA and Asia Until 2027

beIN Media Group has announced it will continue broadcasting the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League until the end of the 2026/27 season. The extension builds on a long-standing relationship between UEFA and the Qatar-based sports network, which first began broadcasting UEFA Club competitions in the 2012/13 season.

The extended deal allows beIN to retain exclusive broadcasting rights across 33 countries in the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), and parts of Asia. These include key markets such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, and Qatar in MENA, and countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand in Asia. Notably, UEFA competitions will also return to screens in Indonesia and the Philippines under this new agreement.

The updated rights package arrives just as UEFA introduced its new competition format in the 2024 season. The revamped structure replaces the traditional group stage with a league-style format, boosting the number of participating teams to 36 in each of the men’s competitions. This has resulted in a 20% increase in the total number of matches. Subscribers to beIN SPORTS in 23 MENA countries and 10 Asian countries will benefit from more football content than ever before.

In addition, the UEFA Women’s Champions League will adopt a similar 18-team league format starting from the 2025/26 season. This shift aligns with UEFA’s broader effort to grow the visibility and competitiveness of the women’s game globally.

Mohammed Al-Subaie, CEO of beIN MENA, said, “With UEFA’s new competition format living up to its promise and producing huge matches from matchday one, we are delighted that beIN will continue to bring this new era to our subscribers in MENA and Asia.”

This renewed deal ensures beIN retains exclusive rights to every match across the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, and UEFA Women’s Champions League. The content will be aired live across the network’s various sports channels in both MENA and Asia.

As with previous seasons, fans will be able to follow all matches through beIN SPORTS’ comprehensive multi-channel coverage, which includes in-depth analysis, live commentary, pre- and post-match shows, and interactive digital platforms. The broadcaster is known for offering localized and Arabic-language coverage across the region, which has helped it maintain its leadership in the sports broadcasting space.

The deal reinforces beIN’s commitment to providing premium football content and maintaining its position as one of the leading sports broadcasters in the world. UEFA’s competitions are among the most-watched tournaments globally, drawing millions of viewers per matchday. With more games and extended markets, this agreement gives beIN a stronger competitive edge in the regional broadcasting landscape.

Countries covered under this exclusive deal include Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE, Yemen, and Asian territories such as Brunei, Timor-Leste, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.

With the extended deal, beIN will not only retain access to the world’s most prestigious club football competitions but will also expand its offering, especially with the return of UEFA content in Indonesia and the Philippines. By securing long-term rights to UEFA Club competitions, beIN continues to strengthen its sports portfolio and reinforce its reach across key international markets.
