ANGA COM 2024 Releases Conference Programme in Top Form: More than 200 speakers from the Broadband and Media Industry

Cologne, Germany, March 13, 2024, | ANGA COM, the premier European event for Broadband, Television, & Online, scheduled for May 14-16, 2024, in Cologne, Germany, has unveiled its agenda, featuring the most critical issues in the broadband and media sectors. The event will showcase over 50 sessions with upwards of 200 experts speaking on various topics, including standout sessions such as the Gigabit Summit, the Media Summit, and the Fiber Optic Summit. Additionally, notable discussions will focus on adoption rates, streaming services, and the transition from copper to fibre optics.

  • The Gigabit Summit “Cooperation or Consolidation – How will the Operator Structure develop by 2030?” will follow the opening address by Klaus Müller, President of the German Federal Network Agency. Business and TV Journalist Isabelle Körner will present the discussion with five CEOs from the German telecommunications industry:

The international technology agenda for the upcoming event has been updated to include a broad range of cutting-edge topics, such as Fiber to the Home (FTTH), Passive Optical Networks (PON), the latest DOCSIS 4.0 standards, 10G technologies, Open Access models, Streaming & Over-The-Top (OTT) services, Content Distribution Networks (CDN), Artificial Intelligence (AI), sustainability initiatives, resilience strategies, and the Internet of Things (IoT). This comprehensive program is now accessible online.

Building on the success of its inaugural year in 2023, the event will feature strategy and technology discussions at the Innovation Stage, an open platform for presentations located within the exhibition area. This stage will highlight an additional, mostly international lineup focusing on technical aspects of media distribution, streaming, OTT services, and connectivity, set to be announced in April.

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, ANGA COM offers free admission to the entire conference, including all sessions. The focus for this day will be on in-house networks, open access, civil engineering projects, and municipal involvement. Collaborating partners for the day include the Federal Gigabit Bureau, aconium, and VATM. The day will commence with the Infrastructure Summit titled “Networks, Digitalization, Smart City,” featuring discussions with notable figures like Valentina Daiber from Telefónica Deutschland, Susanne Fabry of RheinEnergie, Michael Fränkle of Tele Columbus, and others, under the moderation of Kerstin Stromberg-Mallmann from Talking Bridges.

Over 460 companies across 35 countries have registered for the exhibition, which has filled up to 25,000 square meters of exhibition space.
