Amazon Prime Video Strengthens Sports Broadcast with FanCode Partnership

Amazon Prime Video Partners with FanCode to expand its sports offering; plans start at 249 per year.

Amazon Prime Video has introduced a dedicated sports channel through a collaboration with India’s streaming platform Fancode, which is available on Prime Video Channels within the region.

Fancode boasts exclusive rights and partnerships with various sports organizations, including ICC Pathways, Cricket West Indies, EFL, CONMEBOL, Volleyball World, and FIBA. This allows subscribers to enjoy a range of tournaments like the Carabao Cup, Women’s Big Bash League, FIFA U17 World Cup, Barclays Women’s Super League, AFC Champions League, AFC Cup, and Yuva Kabaddi, among others.

This new addition, FanCode, offers subscribers comprehensive access, including future events like the Super Smash and the England tour of the West Indies.

Launching on Prime Video Channels at a special introductory price of INR 249 per year, the channel covers more than 15 sports, such as cricket, football, rugby, kabaddi, basketball, and horse racing.

Yannick Colaco, the co-founder of FanCode, remarked, “FanCode wants to reach every sports fan across the country, and this association with Prime Video is a step in that direction. We are excited to bring our premium content to Prime Video Channels and increase our reach. FanCode will be the first sports platform on the service, making the collaboration even more special.”
