DAZN Collaborates with YouTube to Launch NFL’s Game Pass International as a Primetime Channel in the UK and Germany

DAZN has partnered with YouTube to introduce streaming of the NFL’s Game Pass International as a Primetime channel, targeting audiences in the UK and Germany. 

This service offers extensive live coverage of all NFL games, subject to blackout restrictions, and includes a variety of highlights, exclusive content, and the much-acclaimed RedZone stream.

In the agreement signed in February, DAZN secured a decade-long global distribution contract with the NFL. The Game Pass can be accessed as a standalone or add-on for existing subscribers.

Previously, DAZN was the sole gateway to this service. The new integration with YouTube enables users with a Google account to subscribe to Game Pass directly.

Shay Segev, DAZN’s CEO, highlighted the significance of this collaboration: “DAZN’s global partnership with YouTube underscores our commitment to making the premium sports content more accessible and engaging for fans,” he said. “Launching our relationship by making NFL Game Pass available in the UK and Germany demonstrates the quality of content we plan to distribute via YouTube globally.”

YouTube’s recent introduction of channels in these markets has seen Game Pass become its most notable offering.

“This marks a significant milestone as our first premium sports launch internationally on YouTube, stepping beyond borders to bring the thrill of NFL to fans around the world,” said Richard Lewis, YouTube’s director of partnerships for the UK and Ireland. He emphasized the goal of expanding the NFL’s international fan base and enhancing partner relationships by building a community of dedicated subscribers.

Similarly, Amazon is advancing in this domain through Prime Video, which now hosts various major sports services. Notably, the recent addition of FanCode in India offers a diverse range of sports content to its subscribers, including soccer, cricket, and kabaddi.
